What I'm Loving This Week
Hello my dear friends!
I feel as though I haven't been on here in forever, oh wait it has been forever!
Between midterms, and a spring break filled with nothing but wedding appointment after appointment my poor blog took to the back burner.
But with all the time spent away from my blog I thought up some really great posts so stay tuned!
Enough of my rambling, here are a few things I'm loving this week and I thought maybe you would care!
Drink: Sweet Tea! (Every day, all day)
Website: Simply Clarke's blog!
Song: Human by Christina Perri.
School/Work Related Thing: Making a power point for my Literature class. (I know I'm a nerdy it's been duly noted)
Beauty Product: Naked 3 Pallet by Urban Decay.
Tech: Designing my own Valentine's Day tags.
Favorite Workout of The Week: This arm workout. It was a pain to get through but so worth it!
Guilty Pleasure: Watching Chuck on Netflix.. .
Random: There's 47 days till I graduate and 121 days till I get married.
Purchase: XO Earrings from American Eagle.
What are you loving this week? Write a blog and link me to it so I can find something new to love!

You're such a "Hipster"...
What is a Hipster?
A person who wears, thick rimmed glasses, and listens to indie rock?
Why are people so offended when they are referred to as a Hipster?
Urban Dictionary defines a Hipster as:
a subculture of men and women typically in their 20's and 30's that value independent thinking, counter-culture, progressive politics, an appreciation of art and indie-rock, creativity, intelligence, and witty banter...
I don't know where you live, or who your friends are but the school I go to is often classified as a hipster college. Other colleges even make memes about our school to make fun of how non "main-stream" we are.
What I just can't understand is why people are automatically offended when someone calls them a "hipster".
After pondering over this for a while I've come to a conclusion...
Being called a hipster is no different then being called girly, or nerdy or a punk. It's simply another way to classify people and try to place a label on someone's life.
If you enjoy your life, the way you live, the way you act, then don't stop doing those things because someone tries to put a label over your head.
Be yourself darling because, frankly, everyone else is already taken.

The Last First Day
This week I experienced my last first day of college before I graduate with my associates degree!
It's such an amazing feeling to know that on April 29th I'm going to receive my associates degree in leadership and arts! (Insert sequel here)
I have never known two years of my life to fly by so quickly!
It seems like just last week when I packed up all my stuff to move to school within five days. God certainly had a plan when he sent me off to college, I've learned so many lessons and made some incredible friendships.
Cara and I the first week of college last year.
Cara and I on our last first day of college before we graduate in April.
There's this incredible feeling that bubbles up inside of me thinking of all the new doors and possibilities ahead of me.
Graduation, wedding plans, moving, there's so much running through my mind and I can't simply sort it all out, but it's all simply exciting!
The Count Down
109 Days till graduation
183 Days till I marry my best friend

November Favorites
My character does this thing where I get hooked on things/items/songs or anything really.
So naturally I thought to myself "hey I should tell the blog world what I like this month"
And now, without further adieu, here are a few of my November favorites!
Now trust me, I am in love with even more than this but I didn't want to overload your brain!

The Beginning of A Home
I never thought picking paint colors would be so hard.
Call me crazy!
I get all anxious and worried and tense.
It's pathetic really.
Why is that so hard? It's not like I could never repaint? It's most defiantly NOT the end of the world, but it feels like it sometimes..
My Fiance has been fixing up the house we are going to live in after the wedding, the house is an hour away from my school and it's killing me. I wish with all my heart I could be at the house working and cleaning and helping! Alas school comes first (lame).
We are going to be living in a little house on a plot of land in Arkansas and it's the cutest thing ever, while it currently needs a little TLC I can't wait to share before and after pictures with you!
Pinterest, I fear, is going to be my fiance's next nightmare. There are just so many grand ideas and DIY projects for home making, and trust me I have pined them all. I never planned my wedding before I was engaged, but I do have some lovely ideas on how to make a house a home.
Now that I realize this post is mainly me rambling I figured I will share a sneak peak of our soon to be homestead covered in the fresh snow fall.
Oh and don't you worry, I finished picking out paint colors!

5 Ways To Make Your Man Feel Special
Every woman likes to feel special.
We crave that feeling, but how often do we make our man feel special?
They deserve that feeling too! They deserve to be the center of attention!
If your poor like me, (can I get an amen?) you can't simply go out and buy your man a brand new four wheeler or Rolex. BUT we can go out of our way in some more creative ways.
1) Brag about him
Nothing makes someone feel better than being reaffirmed with words. Post a status about him, give him a shout out on Twitter, or post your new favorite picture of him on Instagram. Tell you girlfriends why he is simply the best! Believe it or not you can even brag about him while he's listening, it's completely ok!

2) Make him a book
Making something homemade is always one of my "go to" ideas. Creating personal little books of memories and inside jokes will always bring a smile. Some easy ideas you could use are an "ABC book of our love" or a "52 Reasons why I love you." Pintrest is full of simple and thoughtful DIY that your man will love!
3) Leave him little notes
They will keep these forever! It doesn't matter if your married, dating for two months, or engaged leaving a note for your man reminds him that you're thinking of him and they need to know that!
4) Kiss him on the forehead
It's innocent and sweet.
5) Surprise him
Ladies you know your man! Give him a surprise that's just for him! If that means YOU ask HIM on a date to the new hit action movie then do it, or you could simply rub his feet after a long day. Go out of your way and do something that he will not be expecting, it will make his day!
As you can see it doesn't take hundreds of dollars to make your man feel special.
Now go get em' tiger!

Blog Every Day In June/ What's In My Purse #13
So far this summer I have been using a Vera Bradley cross over bag that holds my phone, cards, money and more! I love it! I also carry a bag with me to and from work.
And yes that is an asphalt rock I confiscated from one of my kids at work after an afternoon at the park... I've been hauling it around in my bag for about a week now.
Well that's a look into my purse for this week, it changes sometimes hourly!

My folder holds all the activities I have planned for my kids and the up coming week, along with my schedule and random papers.

Coloring, Swimming, and Playing All Day Long!
Coming home from college all college students are faced with the most important question of summer. "Where can I work?"
Last year I had an awesome opportunity to work at a welding center. First working heavy machinery, (where I got massively burned by a chemical called solvent) then I moved up in ranks to a desk job and eventually ended up being able to give welding procedure tests.
While I was off in college my boss hired two people to replace me. No longer being short staffed I was on the hunt for a new job!
Today I started work at a kids daycare/summer camp! I get paid to hang out with kids all day! It doesn't get much better than that! I was accepted immediately by the kiddos. I'm psyched to be able to pour into these kids lives while they are young, this summer job is going to be a blast!

Blog Every Day In June/ Favorite Quote #9
QUOTES! I love quotes! Picking just one is nearly impossible..
Lately a quote that I've been in love with is the following..
"Leaders don't force people to follow, they invite them on a journey."

Blg Every Day In June/ If You Could Have One Super Power #7
In the realm of super heroes my one and only favorite will always be Spiderman! Often When I realize a spider has bitten me I pray and hope I will wake up with spidy powers but alas this has not happened. Yet.
So obviously I would wish for Spiderman powers if I could have any one super power! To be able to swing from building to building would save me a lot of money, and being a poor college student these gas prices are not my friend. In the long run me having Spiderman powers is a lot like going green. Think about. Now you get!

Blog Every Day In June/ Home #5
Home!
Song after song is written trying to capture the magic of finding a place to call home, and the definition is different for everyone. For almost 20 years I have lived in the same house, in a good size town, a stones throw away from the beautiful city of Chicago! I've had many adventures here and I know there's more to come this summer! Here are a few pictures of the place I call home!

Blog Every Day In June/ What You Wore Today #3
What I wore today!
I hate pants! There I said it! I just feel so constricted in pants.. Therefore I wear a lot of skirts and dresses on an every day basis.
Today I wore a long blue/grey/black dress I got at Khols on sale! (whoot, whoot) over that one of my favorite peach sweaters from Aerie. The shoes and necklace are cutesy of my dear Mother's close and in my hair I'm rocking a camo bow from Etsy. (my new addiction)
